Jonathan Dimbleby - Election 2005 - ITV 1
Alan Milburn (lab), Liam Fox (con) and Mathew Taylor (lib) were the panel.
Tony Smith of the FSB South West Policy Unit was also there and asked the panel of distinguished MPs a probing question on any new stealth taxes they may be looking to implement day 1 on the job!
I had my hand up ready to ask the third question on the topic and Jonathan had to move on to the third topic, immigration. Never mind, it was a lovely day for a drive up the city. Next time I go up for the programme I will make sure I have my questions ready and my hand in the air from the off. Another lessoned learned.
As the show came to a close I asked Jonathan if he would kindly pose for a picture with Tony (who asked the question - not Blair!) He did and reminded us that he has an organic farm & shop and therefore a small business owner. We didn't ask if he was an FSB member!
Jonathan Dimbleby is also currently the president of the soil association and of Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO).
